He has conducted guest lectures and performances at numerous colleges and universities around the nation. Rudy has also received admiration from institutions of higher education. Furthermore, Rudy has made conscious efforts to cultivate young poets and expose the youth to the genre of Spoken Word Poetry through workshops and performances at schools and community centers. Rudy eloquently absorbs the experiences of those around him, synthesizes them and converts their stories into poetry. As an artist, Rudy Francisco combines activism and poetry to enlighten the minds of those who witness his performance. At the age of 21, Rudy completed his B.A in Psychology and decided to continue his education by pursuing a MA in Organizational Leadership. I haven’t had anything funny happen to me on stage before –but I have embarrassed myself in front of a lot of people on the way to work when I fell off my bike stationary at a light in front of pedestrians and a busload of people. Pinkerton from Madame Butterfly – this role tested my partnering strength with the ten minute pas de deux at the end of Act 1, as well as keeping in character and developing with the story. Which role has tested you the most & how ? ![]() My mum – she instilled the love of art and dance in me at an early age and encouraged me to work as hard as I could.Ī reviewer once wrote I had ‘splendid pecs’ – I like that.
